I graduated with an Honours Degree in Applied Computing from the University of East Anglia, following a one year course in Computer Science.
Having been born in Canada and lived briefly in the U.S.A. I was encouraged to complement my experiences by travelling extensively in North America before completing my formal education with a degree.

Following on from E-Digital Solutions, I set up a Limited company with 2 partners. Fibre offers Web, IT and Print services to SMEs. I am the technical director and develop all technical solutions for our projects. I am also responsible for the companies research and development and have a directorial role in all other aspects of the company.

I started up an IT business with a colleague, designing commercial Web sites and applications, offering consulting on IT solutions implementing IT and network solutions to SMEs and providing support to home users. I work as the Technical Director, developing the web sites and applications, designing and installing IT infrastructure. I am also involved in the marketing, accounting and business administration. I meet with clients to discuss their requirements and offer professional advice.
Computer Engineer Actus IT
Actus provides IT outsourcing support to small and medium sized companies (SMEs). My job, as an engineer, was to provide on-site and e-support to Actus clients. I installed, set up, analysed and repaired client PCs, Servers & Networks, both on and off site. The computers that I dealt with ran on various versions of MS Windows and Linux. I also managed a project replacing a large IT infrastructure at a client site. My duties included pre-support site visits to new clients, auditing clients IT infrastructure and providing strategic advice on updating and optimising their current IT infrastructure.
Software Engineer Terranova Informatics (UK)
During my time with Terranova I provided direct technical support to the UK customer sites. As the sole UK technical representative of the company I was actively involved with site-specific development and support work for five major UK NHS sites including Guy’s and St’ Thomas Hospitals. During this period, the NHS ‘Numbers for Babies Programme’ was introduced, and I was personally responsible for liaising with the NHS Information Authority and BT Syntegra in upgrading and developing the installed systems to conform to this new Department of Health initiative.
My job covered many areas including
- Developing clients configurations for Electronic Patient Record (EPR) System Healthware (HW)
- Creating web based dynamically produced reports using scripting technology.
- Demonstrating new software for the HW software suite to clients.
